In collegiate biological classes, tutors often require their students to know how to write biology papers, be it an essay form or a research paper format. The students are required to write these papers in an appropriate format and style. However, the writing of biology papers is not something that a student just happens to know. In order to write good scientific biology papers a student should learn about the features of biology papers and how to go about the actual writing of any biology paper.
Before reviewing the features of biology papers and writing of a biology paper, probably the student should first learn about the format of a biology paper. Biology papers should be written in font size 11, Times New Roman and the line spacing should be 1.5. Page margins should be maintained at one inch all round and the author’s last name and page number should always appear on the upper right corner of the paper. The title of the paper should be bold and with a font size of 14. The features of biology papers should include the following sections: an abstract, methods and materials section, results, discussion, conclusion and references.

FALLING MATHEMATICS RESULTS- AN INTROSPECTION
It is a matter of great concern and serious consequences that the results of Mathematics in the AISSE examination at the end of class-X and AISSCE examination at the end of class-XII conducted by CBSE is falling at an alarming rate of 3 to 5% every year. Same is the case with other state boards too.
To check this shocking downslide, the syllabi have been modified a number of times, the question papers have been simplified, the evaluation of answer scripts have been made lenient, but all these efforts are yet to give better results in the subject or make it student friendly.
Introspection in this respect is an absolute necessity. I feel that such a state of affairs is because there have been weaknesses in Mathematics education today which are as below:
1) Mathematics is taught as an abstract subject.

Carmelita Thompson and William Allan Kritsonis, PhD
Introduction
The Ways of Knowing Through the Realms of Meaning (Kritsonis, 2007) offers a pragmatic framework to strategic planning that will move educational organizations in innovative directions. In developing a strategic plan, an educational organization must implement Dr. Kritsonis’ (2007) six fundamental patterns of meaning designated respectively as symbolics, empirics, esthetics, synnoetics, ethics, and synoptics. Strategic planning is the process in which an educational organization determines its current status, envisions its long-term goals, makes projections for the future, and develops strategies to achieve those future aspirations. Strategic planning must be flexible and practical and yet serve as a guide to implement programs to evaluate the educational organizations progress. A strategic plan intertwining the six fundamental patterns of the Ways of Knowing Through the Realms of Meaning (Kritsonis, 2007) constructs innovative analytical and critical thinking that will improve and enhance the performance of educational organizations.

Writing of science term papers is common evaluation activity done by all students that study science at any academic level. Science is an ever evolving and developing subject that is so extensive. Therefore, any scientific academic writing requires an extensive research that can facilitate proper quality writing. Today’s busy study environment presents students with multiple social and co-curricular activities as well as multiple academic assignments that may prove difficult to accomplish. Science papers may consume much of the assignment time of a student, especially; if the student is not well versed with the writing of various parts that constitute a science paper. A science term paper is usually 8 to 10 pages in length, but this may vary depending on the instructor’s specifications. In order to write quality science papers, a student should follow these guidelines that define the various parts of a science term paper.

Astronomy or Astrology
Have you ever finally given in to temptation and read your horoscope in the newspaper on Sunday morning? OK,OK, fewer and fewer people read the Sunday newspaper. But even on the net there are astrology websites and astrology columns all over the place. Even in places you would never expect them
Anyhow, sure, we all have given in to that temptation and taken a sneak peek. For most of us, it’s a curiosity, an amusement to see what the swamis say our day will be like based on the sign of the zodiac that we were born under. Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that this small diversion is really part of an ancient science called astrology and that it had a powerful effect on many cultures dating back to most ancient times.

“Making writers into authors and authors better writers”…
Writing…Blogs…Blogs are on-line journals where people express themselves through writing. Writing…Writing is the process where one puts down words of a language on a format that others can read. This process has not been around very long, to use one of my writing teacher’s favorite sayings, “Writing has only existed for one day in the one year that humanity has existed.” Speaking and thinking come much easier than writing.
These processes just flow out naturally like a river of consciousness; sometimes we hardly have to think about doing them. Anyone and everyone can write words down on paper but that doesn’t mean it’s ‘good writing’, myself included. Like most things in life, our society already takes writing for granted which is proving to expose more of our ignorance. Writing is a new form of expression, and if we want to do it in a way that the masses can connect with our ideas, we have to think much more simply and clearly about this art.
